
Lori A. Lindberg
Lecturer and Consultant
Lori Lindberg is a lecturer in the Master of Archives and Records Administration (MARA) degree at SLIS and the archives specialization in the MLIS degree. In addition to her academic work, Lori is an archival consultant having work relationships with entities large and small, including the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, California State Parks, and the State of California Department of Industrial Relations.
In support of her teaching and consulting work, Lori is currently matriculating for the PhD in Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, where her advisor is Dr. Anne J. Gilliland. She is a member of the Society of California Archivists, the Academy of Certified Archivists, ARMA International and the Society of American Archivists (SAA), where she has served on numerous award committees and as Chair of the Archival Educators" Roundtable.
Lori's research interests lie in recordkeeping informatics, metadata and metadata structures, and the role of metadata in the long-term preservation of reliable and authentic electronic records. As part of her doctoral studies, Lori worked as a graduate student researcher in the Description Cross-Domain group of the InterPARES 2 project.
